The form of the project takes shape of an aging tree. As well as the structure of the installation. 2/3rds of the form is fastened to one another, but the 1/3rd is not fastened in order to let wind move each component like a tree dances in the wind.
The project fills a barren area with a project of user circulatory interactions. The organic nature of the form comes from trees as rigidity would alter the feeling of the structure and how it is experienced.
Motion
As the user moves around the insallation, the subject itself seems to be in motion.

LOVE VORTEX
The installation or the love vortex is an experience of circulation, one in which people in rush to work can enjoy as much as the people in the park relaxing. The form derives from the chaotic nature of the city in which the form adheres to it, yet is tailored.
TREE DANCE
The Tree Dance is inspired by one of my previous projects, LOVE VORTEX, creating motion from stillness from the user experience. The installation is located in Rittenhouse Square. Users can walk in between the "trees" and around them, as they do the twisted motions of the project seem to "move".

User experience is at the core of the love vortex installation. Various designs were explored for the installation, but most designed did not achieve a responsive circulatory experience. But he vortex was the solution! Each design was made with the influence of the sun path and potential shadows.
As a user enters the space, space itself becomes diffused by the repetitive skewed pattern of the design. The space is open to the environment with pocket entrances to promote circulation around the installation.

The installation is an art initiation to promote local artist and history throughout the project. This point allows the design to be flexible and unique. While the project is circulatory based, the art and history aspect of it all allows user to pause.
The project is never the same. Different art and history can be displayed. Sun and shadow will make the space feel different throughout the day.
